A snapshot of…April

Snapshot April

I can’t believe we are at the end of another month, April flew by!

Anyway, here is our snapshot of April…

My Alice…

April Snapshot

This month you have really grown as a sister, you have always been really good and loving to Holly. But, this month you seem to have taken on the role as ‘Big Sister’. You look out for Holly all the time, you comfort her when she is sad, you read her a story when she brings you a book and you let her join in with your games (most of the time). When you stayed with nan and grandad, while we were away, all you wanted to do was make sure Holly was ok. You kept telling me you would look after her. I adore it, I love to watch it and I couldn’t be more prouder of the Big Sister that you are.

You love…

Your new paw patrol pad, just like the one Ryder has.

To wear your new sparkly shoes, even though they are not actually sparkly, but who am I to correct you!

To eat raspberry yoghurt, not strawberry, just raspberry.

To draw, you are always asking to do some drawing.

Little Holly…

You are twenty months old, I feel like I am on the countdown to you being two! You are talking so much now, words are being put together and I love to hear your little voice. We started Toddler Sensory classes and you are having so much fun. It’s great to see you with little ones your age.

You love…

Your new baby that your auntie brought you, it’s definitely a favourite.

Shoes and not just your shoes. You are always finding my shoes or Alice’s shoes and walking around the house in them.

To run up to me with your arms out wide for a big cuddle.

To sit like a big girl at the table and I am not sure how much longer you are going to want to be in your highchair.

My monthly challenge…

At the moment my challenge is Holly’s eating. She has got stuck in a rut with the food that she will eat, I know from having Alice that this is a phase that they go through and she will come through it. But, it is a bit frustrating. She has never liked cereal, we have tried lots of different types since we started weaning, but she just was not a fan. Luckily she loves toast and jam on toast is her favourite. Or should I say was her favourite, I think she is getting a bit bored of it.

So,  when Ella’s Kitchen asked if we would like to try their new cereal range, I jumped at the chance and I can’t wait to see if her taste buds have changed and if she will love it. It arrived today and I will let you know how I get on…

What we got up to…

Andy and I were lucky to go away to Florence, Italy for a weekend. It’s the first time we have been away together just us, for four years. It rained a lot, but that didn’t spoil it for us. It was great to relax and see the lovely sights of Florence. I will share more about it on another post.

The girls stayed with my parents and had a wonderful time. They spent time with my brother, sister in law and niece too, which was great and they loved it.

My favourite moment…

Of course I had lots and lots of lovely moments with my girls, but this month it was being with this one in Florence. Just us…

Can’t wait for May, we have our family holiday…whoop whoop!

There’s something so special about Florence, isn’t there? I just can’t quite describe how magical it is. We’ve had a few rainy trips there too, and although it takes the shine off a little bit, it’s still a wonderful trip! #bloggerclubuk

Oh, I LOVE Florence. So glad you got a break and well-deserved after four years! My youngest is only 7.5 months so 20 months seems a long way ahead still but I know it will come quickly. Congratulations on having two such lovely children and good luck with the Ella’s Kitchen cereal! #bloggerclubuk

April really did fly by! Looks like you had a great month, Florence sounded lovely despite the rain. Clem is 21 months now, and it’s crazy how fast that’s gone. I should probably start thinking about her 2nd birthday!x #bloggerclubuk
