Designing the Perfect T-shirt for My Girls…

*This is a collaborative post*

This month is birthday month for us with both Alice and Holly’s birthday’s ten days apart. This is super handy when it comes to birthday parties because I can do a joint party for them with friends and family, which they love.

The not so handy part is buying presents, it can be an expensive month for us. Oh and I should probably mention it’s also Andy’s birthday right in the middle of their’s. So, I have three important birthday’s within ten days, lucky me!

I try and plan ahead and spread the cost of their birthday presents and every year I am grateful that it’s far enough away from Christmas, otherwise that would be even more expensive.

This year I have been trying to find a t-shirt for them both with their ages on, as I thought it would be super cute for some family photos. Now, I thought this would be really easy to find, but no of course it isn’t, nothing ever is. There isn’t many places that sell them and the ones that do just aren’t in the girls style or they are just a bit plain.

I was chatting to a friend about it at the park and she came up with the idea of getting a personalised t-shirt done, then I could design it perfectly for both the girls. What a clever friend I have and that night I started designing some ideas for t-shirts.

Of course for Alice is has to be pink if I ever want her to wear it and for Holly I can be a bit more creative, but I also want it to compliment Alice’s.

Personalised t-shirts are a great option and with places like Fire Label branded t-shirts, it is really easy to bring your own designs to life and at affordable prices.

I think I may have started a yearly tradition for us. Do you like personalised clothes or gifts?

Ah its so funny I should read this because I did this for my sons 1st birthday and I am thinking of doing it now for both my boys birthdays as a yearly tradition. Would be awesome to look back on the pictures when they are a lot older.

I always buy in presents way in advance. I’ve already started my Xmas shopping which makes me feel on top of things because my little ones birthday is 2 weeks after Christmas… nightmare! I think it’s a lovely idea to get them tops with their ages on them, the pictures would be so cute to put in a memory box along with the tops. I love personalising tops for sure! Got my little one his name and date of birth when he was born for photos.

August seems a busy month for birthdays. Love the idea of getting them personalised t-shirts for their birthday. Bet they’d look great in the photos too.

I do know some places that do them with ages on but only for young babies/ toddlers. This is a really good idea though.

Aw what a great idea for younger ones – I think I’ve missed the boat on this as my two would be mortified if I tried to design them a t-shirt but they are older at 11 and 13. When they were younger they would have gone mad over it though x x

Yes I love personalised clothes and gifts. It makes them so much more unique x

This is such a lovely idea. I like the idea of taking a photo of them in a t shirt with their age on it each year. Although I appear to have a fussy one on my hands so it may have to be a personalised dress for Lia!
