My Girls…March 2017

The last month has been a busy one, but a brilliant one too. Our new house is finally coming together, with just the shutters to be fitted in the lounge next week. I am so excited!

With the arrival of March, we’ve had a few sunny days and it’s been lovely to just open our front door and go for a walk. Alice has been out on her bike a couple go times and she has been the happiest little girl. The simplest of things, has brought the biggest smiles.

Last week after school I took the girls outside on their scooters, something that I wouldn’t have been able to do in our old house as we lived on a main road. But now in the safety of a cul-du-sac, they happily played and I loved watching them together.

With every passing month, as Holly gets older the gap between the girls seems less. Holly now understands the games that Alice wants to play and Alice no longer gets frustrated when she doesn’t do something right. Yes, they still squabble, as only siblings can. But, its never for long and they are back to loving each other.

I’ve noticed as Alice is getting older, she has more of an appreciation that Holly doesn’t understand everything and she will be a bit more tolerant of things. She is more likely to help her, than get frustrated. Not every time, but its a work in progress.

Last weekend we had a sunny day on Saturday and it was the perfect time to go outside and sort our new garden out. It was lovely to get our patio furniture out and to watch the girls playing together. Plus we didn’t need our coats, spring is definitely nearly here.

Holly absolutely loves playing in the playhouse, if you ask her where her house is she always replies ‘outside in garden’. Even though people are asking her about the actual house we live in 🙂 When they correct her, she says ‘no that’s mummies house, my house in garden’. It’s so cute.

My photos this month are just simple photos of the girls playing together, something that I could watch forever.

It’s so lovely to get out in the garden after winter isn’t it? My two always seem to get on better outside for some reason. That’s so cute what Holly says about her house. Bless her little heart xx

Oh how lovely. My two are loving playing in their play house at the moment too. The trampoline is the other favourite. Isn’t it so much easier this year now that the weather is nicer and they can play together and be outside, it’s a revelation!

  3. I love that Holly’s house is outside in the garden and “Mummy’s house” is the house you all live in. It’s lovely to see how that age gap seems to disappear as they get older – Jessica and Sophie have been much the same. Lovely photos of your girls playing together and having fun – especially that first shot which is just full of fun. How lovely that they are able to get out on scooters outside now that you live in a cul-de-sac 🙂 #siblingsproject

Lovely pictures! Playhouses really are such fun. Our garden is still so waterlogged at the moment, but hopefully in a few weeks time we will be able to get our daughter’s playhouse set up again ready for endless hours of fun. #siblingsproject

It’s so nice to see everyone playing outside and making the most of the lighter days and sunny times. We were looking for a outdoor playhouse for the kids. Always lots of fun to be had in those. They look so cute together here. Growing up so fast too. #siblingsproject
