It’s felt like a long week and I am pleased we’ve made it to the weekend. Alice is now on half term and I am so excited to spend the next week with my girls.
Let’s talk happy moments…
Last weekend we went to launch of a new local shop that my friend is working at. There were a few of Alice’s school friends there and it was really lovely to see her with her new friends. This makes me really happy that she is settling in so well and to see her with them.
It was niece’s birthday and we went to her part at a local soft play. Alice was off the minute we arrived and the minute Holly went into the area for her age, we couldn’t get her out. It was great and the girls loved it. I can’t believe my niece is now six!
Last week it was Instagram and this week it’s Twitter. I reached 4,000 followers on Twitter and I am so happy to reach this milestone. These little milestones mean so much to me.
Alice had her school disco on Thursday and she has been excited about it all week. She picked out her dress the minute she knew about it. I was helping out and it was lovely to see her in her new environment. A chance to get a little insight into her new world. She came home tired, but the happiest I have seen her.
Until May this year Alice would never have anything in her hair, no clips or anything. It all changed when we went on holiday in Portugal and she realised it was easier to swim with her hair up. Now every day for school we put her hair up and she loves it. What makes me smile is that this week Holly has started to ask for a ponytail too, just like her sister. Her hair is just about long enough for pigtails and she looks adorable. Every morning she asks for them and this makes me happy. Finally a daughter that I can put in cute clips.
This weekend we have swimming lessons and we are off to review a new restaurant. Have a great weekend.
