Parties, Milestones and Dinner Out…Happy Days #40

It’s weeks like this when it’s been a bit crazy that I really appreciate writing my happy list. It’s a chance for me to reflect on the week and appreciate that there have been good moments.

Let’s talk happy moments…

Number One

Last Sunday the girls had a birthday party at a local soft play. They love it there and we don’t normally go to this one as Holly can’t manage it on her own and it means either Andy or I have to go with her. We were all exhausted by the end of it, but they had a great time. As we were leaving Holly’s balloon floated to the top of the ceiling and Alice instantly said to her ‘we can share mine Holly’, she wasn’t prompted it was a really sweet moment between sisters.

Number Two

This week I shared a very personal post on my blog, the most honest post that I’ve written and I was overwhelmed by the support and the messages that I received. I had a few readers contact me to tell me how much my post meant to them and helped them be more honest with their struggles. It’s moments like this that I feel proud of my blog and that it really can make a difference to other people.

Number Three

Holly and I met our friends at the local gymnastics, where they have an open play session. Holly loves it and I was really impressed that she managed to walk along the low beam all on her own, with her arms out wide. We might have to sign her up!

Number Four

This week I reached not one, but two milestones on my social media channels. Over on Instagram I hit 4,000 followers, which I am delighted about, as it’s not an easy one to crack. Then a couple of days later I hit 5,000 followers on twitter, which feels like a big milestone to reach. It’s really lovely when you hit these little milestones, even it does mean you are instantly on the chase for the next one.

Number Five

Tonight (Friday), I am going out for a friend’s birthday and I am really looking forward to it. I haven’t been out for a while and I can’t wait to eat some lovely food and have a good chat. I really need to make more of an effort to do this.

This weekend we are busy getting the attic sorted and Alice is off to a magic themed birthday party on Sunday, which she is very excited about. I hope you have a lovely weekend.

I hope you had a great night out! You deserve to let your hair down 🙂 That balloon moment was just so sweet and good on you for sharing that post. I know it must have been hard to write – and even harder to publish but I am sure so many people benefitted from it x

It sounds like you had some really good moments. I love it when siblings show they love eachother – even when its a split second moment – it keeps parents sane for that little bit longer!
well done for opening up about your PND. As a fellow sufferer, I know how hard it is to be open to people and tell them about it. If you need to talk, im here as a shoulder to cry on or someone to vent at. #happydayslinky
