Our Holiday Wish List for a Day at the Beach…

I love going on holiday, always have done. It’s changed a lot since I have become a mum, but I still love it. We have booked our family holiday for this year and we’ve decided this year to take the girls abroad. Alice has been abroad when she was twelve months old, but obviously doesn’t remember it. But, we haven’t yet taken them both abroad…

For me getting ready for our holiday starts will browsing online for holiday clothes for me and the girls. I always seem to end up looking and sticking with Next for their holiday clothes, they have so many gorgeous clothes at great prices.

We love to go the beach, packing a picnic and heading there for the day. Last year Alice loved building sandcastles. I worry about the sun and keeping them protected and always like to buy the sunsafe suits for them both to wear. This one I found comes with a hat that they can also wear whilst in the water.

1.Beach Top £18 2. Towel Set £18 3. Playsuit & Hat £13 4. Towelling Dress £12 5. Sunsafe Suit £13 6. Hat £7 7.Clogs £7

I love these towel set’s, where you get both a poncho towel and a beach towel. When Alice gets out of the water, she likes to take her swimsuit straight off and I put her in a towelling dress to keep her warm. Don’t you just love clogs, they are so easy for little ones to put on and off. Saves me lots of time!

Of course a trip to beach means a few new items for me too…

1. Bag £28 2. Lace Kaftan £42 3. Leather Toe Thong Sandals £22 4. £30 5. Pull-On Short Dress £28

This bag is a great size to fit all our bits in and I love that it has two ways to carry it. I love dresses that I can easy pull on when we need to pop to the shop or the cafe to buy an ice cream. Of course no trip to the beach is complete without a pair of sunglasses, so I can people watch without them knowing…I mean to keep the sun out of my eyes!

What are your beach essentials?

I love sunsafe suits for my daughter too – we have a variety, and a lovely poncho towel to fling over the top. I try not to go too overboard before each trip as I do travel a lot, but I always find myself browsing new sunglasses (I usually end up scratching/dropping/breaking/losing them so always need a replacement!)
