Holly…Twenty One Months

My beautiful Holly you’ve grown up so much this last month, your daddy and I really noticed it when we were on holiday last week. You are saying whole sentences now and we can really understand you.

You are a real mixture of characters, one minute you are my shy little girl who clings to mummy until you are settled in new surrounding and the next you are my little monkey getting into everything and causing mischief. But thats just the way I like you.

The bond between you and Alice grows every day, as you are able to communicate more Alice loves it. You two are starting to chat away and I can see this only getting better as you talk more. On holiday you were never apart and I think you really enjoyed having your big sister with you all the time. You have missed her this week when she has gone to preschool.

I just adore watching the two of you, full of cuddles and kisses for each other. You are the best at getting Alice out of a tantrum!

We are still battling with the food a bit, you eat and you eat a lot. But, its dinner that is the struggle, you just don’t want to eat what we are eating. I am preserving though and won’t give in, I make sure there is at least one thing on your plate I know you will eat. Slowly we will get there!

You are a funny little girl and you make me laugh every day, you do this funny thing where you are clearly trying to tell me a funny story and the arms are going and you chuckle to yourself. I have no idea what you are saying, but watching you is hilarious. I really need to film it.

I have signed you up to start ballet classes in September with mummy, I just know you are going to love it. You are such a little dancer, the second you hear a tune you start to dance no matter where we are. Your sister loved it, but I think you might just love it a bit more.

You continue to amaze me with everything that you do, I just can’t believe you are nearly two, that feels old. You will always be my baby though, no matter how old you are.

Ah bless her. I totally know what you mean about the sudden development of speech when sentences start, it’s amazing isn’t it? I’m so glad your girls are close, the sisterly bond is such an honour to see isn’t it?

Gorgeous update! The bit about telling a story really made me smile – definitely capture that on film! It’s such a mixture of emotions age too – I can really relate to having a clingy child one minute and then watching as they’re off in a whirlwind of energy! I love the relationship between your two girls too – it’s just gorgeous to see!

Our girls are exactly the same age. It’s soooo lovely to see how close the two sisters are, how lucky are they to have each other! My girl would love ballet too but I’ve struggled to find one in our local area, need to have another hunt I think x #BloggerClubUK
