“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

Normally for my Living Arrows photos I have lots of Holly to choose from and only a couple of Alice, with her being at school. But we are currently on our Easter holidays and I was spoilt for choice on which photos to share.

I decided to choose photos from the day out we had on Good Friday with my cousin and her family. We all had a brilliant day and the girls adored my cousin and her son, who was just the sweetest boy to them. Especially Holly who has a new best friend.

Alice was really excited to go on the quad bikes, I think the last time she went on these she would only have been about 3 years old and I had to go on with her. To see her doing it herself was lovely to see, but also another reminder my little girl is growing up.

When we went to look at the animals the girls had a chance to hold a rabbit. Alice has held rabbits of lots of times before, but for some reason when it came over to her she freaked out. But Holly loved it, in fact she loved it a bit too much and grabbed the pull rabbit’s ears!! Thankfully not too hard and he was ok.

This rabbit was a lot more real than the Easter bunny they had on the stage for the Easter show. He was well, a bit strange and scary looking!!!

She looks so happy to be petting a rabbit, we love visiting a petting corner. I hope you enjoy the rest of the holidays #livingarrows

Oh she looks very taken with the quad bike riding!! So cute! They grow up so quickly don’t they? It’s terrifying and amazing all at once! #livingarrows

Both of these are just perfect childhood moments! My sister and I loved these quad bike things and would zoom round on them for ages (or until my parents ran out of change!). And Holly with the rabbit is so cute – and hey, those ears are pretty tempting to pull! I’m glad it’s not just me that’s freaked out by all these dressed up Easter bunnies though, there’s something really creepy about most of them! #livingarrows

What great pictures! My two year old is like that – loves things from a distance but less so when they get close up! #livingarrows

Oh the quad bikes look great fun! I’ve never been on a quad bike and I can’t wait until my girls are old enough to ride on proper ones so I can take them for a day out riding them! I love that photo of Holly with the bunny too. I’m glad you’ve had a lovely Easter.

Ha ha we’ve had some interesting experiences with Easter Bunnies! And the scaryness of them. I know what you mean about photos of the eldest too. Love the look of the quad bikes x #LivingArrows
