Me and Mine…A Family Project May 2016

I just don’t know where this month has gone, is it really June tomorrow? We had our family holiday to Portugal this month and so May just seem to be consumed by the planning and getting us ready, enjoying and being on holiday and then recovering from our holiday (Alice came home with a stomach bug).

I will be honest Andy and I were a bit apprehensive about being on a flight with two little people. But, our girls were amazing and we survived both flights with no tears from them or me.

Being on holiday all together for a week was just what we all needed. Andy and I work better when we are together, we are a team and life just seems that bit easier with the two of us around. Our girls seemed to thrive on it too, especially Holly. Having her big sister with her all day every day, with no preschool and daddy not going to work she grew up so much while we were away. She is now talking in sentences and the way her and Alice play together they really are becoming little buddies who bounce off each other.

Being on holiday seemed the perfect chance for us to take our family photos and I was so happy that on a trip to a supermarket, following the signs we ended up at the little place Andy and I stayed at when I was pregnant with Alice. We didn’t realise we were so close. It was the perfect place for us to create some memories.

So, our photos of this month are stood by the same beach that I stood at six months pregnant with Alice at the start of our journey to creating our family and now here with are with our family complete…

Oh it sounds like you had such a lovely time on holiday together, and the photos show it too. It’s so lovely to have extended time together as a family, isn’t it? I know it makes us all feel closer to not have the interruptions of work/school/preschool and to just focus on fun and making memories. x

I love that your photos are taken at the same spot where you went to when you were pregnant with Alice – and now you have your two beautiful girls with you! So glad that you had such a lovely holiday and the photos of you all are beautiful. Well done to Holly too for talking in sentences and hope Alice has now fully recovered from her stomach bug.
