November you’ve been a crazy busy month that has been consumed with us moving house. We sold our house at the end of October and we are moving in two days time, that seems ridiculous when I write it down.
It really has been a whirlwind and with it has come lots of stressful moments. What I love most is that Andy and I have pulled together as a team to get us through it. Sometimes when you are going through stressful times, it can be easy to snap at each other, blame the other person and there have been times in the past when this has been us. But, we knew that to meet the deadlines we had to do it together and work as a team.
It’s at times like this I know we are perfect for each other, Andy brings the calm, rationale part to our relationship. Whereas I get stressed, panicky and have those sick in your stomach moments. We are a team and a pretty good one too.
But, we are through all of that now and are on the countdown to move date on Friday.
I will be sad to leave our current home, we still love it. It’s the home that saw Holly take her first steps and say her first words. The home that we left when Alice had her first day at school and there has been so many happy memories captured in this house. We arrived with an 8 week old baby and a 2 year old and we will leave with a 2 year old and a 4 year old, that seems crazy.
But the new house will be the place that we will make our roots and create lots of new memories. The place were Holly will move into a bed and Alice will read her first book by herself. I honestly can’t wait.
Whilst it’s a busy time to be moving in December, I am looking forward to spending our first Christmas there. In some ways its the perfect time to move, as we can snuggle up and hibernate in January in the comfort of our new home.
November you went by in a flash. I hope that December goes a bit slower and I can’t believe that at the end of the month when I am writing my end of year Me and Mine post, we will have nearly been in our house for a month.
Our photos this month were taken on the way home one afternoon and we felt like we needed some fresh air. I have to admit we got a bit more fresh air than we were expecting. It was quite windy being so high up, but the views were spectacular.
Note to self, make sure the girls hats aren’t covering their eyes!!
December is going to be all about settling into our new home and enjoying Christmas. I can’t wait…
