New Home, Nativity and Alice Home… Happy Days #37

I haven’t done my happy list for a couple of weeks as we moved house and not only has it been crazy busy, we’ve also had no broadband. I can’t believe how much we have come to rely on the internet and it has been a bit stressful not having it. Anyway it started working yesterday and I am pleased I can join in one last time this year.

Let’s talk happy moments…

Number One

Moving into our new home. I can’t begin to tell you how happy and excited we are to be in our new home. It’s been a busy few weeks, but it is all starting to come together and it already feels like our home.

Number Two

Finally having the internet. Honestly the sense of relief and happiness when it worked yesterday. No more hanging out the window trying to get a signal on this little box thing we had, that was completely rubbish.

Number Three

Alice had her nativity play this week and she was an angel. She was desperate to be an angel, as last year she was Mary and even though I tried to tell her that was the main role. She just wanted to be an angel because her friend was. Anyway she got her wish and she made a brilliant angel. She sang every song, did all the actions and we were very proud parents watching her.

Number Four

Holly had her induction at preschool this week and she loved it. Even though I was in the hall filling in lots of forms, she was happy to go off and play. She joined in with music time and it was lovely to watch. She will only be going for one morning to begin with, so fingers crossed it all goes well in the new year.

Number Five

Alice finished school yesterday and we are so pleased to have her home. It has been a long term and she is very tired. We have a day planned on Monday just the two of us and I can’t wait. Andy then finishes work on Thursday and has 11 days off! We can’t wait to spend Christmas all together in our new home.

This weekend is a busy one for us. Today we have the TV being installed, Alice’s swimming lesson and a big tidy up ready for Christmas. Tomorrow we are going to see Father Christmas and Alice has a birthday party. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

I’m so glad you’re settled into your new home now. And isn’t it wonderful that they’ve broken up for Christmas? It’s been such a long year and they’re so tired, I think we’re all ready for this break.

Hurrah for the internet! It’s terrifying how much we rely on it really, but that’s just life these days, especially if you’re a blogger! I really feel for Alice wanting to be an angel – I was Mary one year in school and I hated it – I only got it because I could sing, and I just wanted to be something in the background like everyone else. I’m sure she made a wonderful angel. And it sounds like Holly’s pre-school induction is going so well, I’m sure she’ll settle right in! #happydays
