Review: Need toy storage? Introducing the BlokPod…Plus a Giveaway!

I love storage, I mean who doesn’t love storage? A place for everything…

One thing I didn’t realise before I had my two girls, is how much ‘stuff’ comes with having them. Clothes, shoes, keeping some of Alice’s clothes for Holly and then the toys. With all the toys they have, I quickly realised that we needed good storage solutions. I love nothing more than when the girls have gone to bed, than tidying all the toys away ready for the next day of fun to begin…

BlokPod recently sent us their new two in one toy storage solution, it can be used to sort bricks with it’s removable trays or as a toy box for all your toys.

When I first saw it online my first thoughts were, this had better be good for the price, but when it arrived it was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be and it is really versatile.

My girls don’t really play with Lego, as you can see from the picture we have a small amount that Alice won at her preschool raffle. I think the main reason is that I am really nervous about all the small parts of Lego with Holly around, as she likes to put everything in her mouth. I was worried about where I would it once it was out of the box, therefore Alice  has never really played with it.

BlokPod - Alice

This immediately solved the problem and during Holly’s nap time, Alice was excited when I told her we could play with the Lego she had won, look at that happy face. The BlokPod has four layers and the holes on the grids inside are different sizes, therefore sorting your bricks. You give it a quick shake and they pop through the holes if they are the right size. Sending all the small bits to the bottom, safely away from little hands.

I also had ago at using it as a toy box solution. My girls love their shop and kitchen, between them we have a lot of food and tea sets. The BlokPod was great for sorting it all and having it all in one place is perfect.

It is really sturdy and neither of my girls can unlock the mechanism to get to the next layer which is great. Plus it has a handle at top, which means you can easily transport it around your house or pop it in the car to take to the grandparents house, which we did this week in the school holidays.

If you fill up your BlokPod you can purchase additional layers and increase its size, which is always handy. As we know that with their birthdays coming up in the summer, we will have even more toys!

The BlokPod has impressed me with its versatility and how much I was able to store in it. I haven’t decided yet whether to use it for the small bit of Lego we have or as a toy storage for all their food. But however I end up using it, I know that I will have a tidy house with the help of the BlokPod.

Head over to the BlokPod website to find out more and places to purchase it.

That is clever – my daughter is slightly obsessed with keeping things in their original boxes, and in a specific place. Which is generally great until the boxes start to fall apart or she gets cross when I try to tidy. Any clever storage solutions are definitely a winner!

Our house is full of these gizmos! And every night once the smallest has finally gone to sleep I really really “love” filling back up with all the stuff he’s thrown around the living room 🙂

This is such a clever way to store lego! We have ours in shoe boxes but 1/5 times the box gets spilled on the way to the closet or even worse once it’s in the closet. I love how there are different compartments & they are all sealed! Great idea! x

This is a great idea. Good job it’s expandable because we’ve got way too much Lego to fit otherwise

Oh how I could have done with this for my sons Lego when he was smaller! It’s just perfect
