Sharing The Blog Love Showcase…#21

Blogger Showcase

Welcome back to #SharingtheBlogLove Showcase post, where I share my favourite posts from last week’s linky. You can pop over and read Katy’s favourite’s too.

Mummy Times Two

Becoming a mummy is one of the hardest things and there is so much that no one tells you. When I read this, An Open Letter To New Mummies, it was refreshingly honest. When you become a parent it takes a while to realise that you know best for your child and that no matter what job you think you are doing, you are being the best parent to your child. Even when I had Holly I was still learning, as she is so different to Alice and I parent them differently.

Little Paper Swans

The minute I saw the title of this post, I knew I would love it! Salted Caramel Filo Parcels, what is there not to love. I don’t know about you, but the minute I see the words salted caramel I home in on it. These look delicious and I am definitely going to have a go at making these over Christmas. They only take 20 minutes and that includes the baking time…going on, you know you want to pop over and take a look!

Let Them Be Small

When Alice turned four back in the summer, it felt like a real milestone and I couldn’t quite believe I had been a parent for fours years. I loved reading this post, Motherhood-four years on, where Sarah reflects on the last fours years as her eldest turned four. These words said it all for me…

‘It’s made me realise that really, children don’t need much. They want time and the space to be children. The time and space to explore their world and make sense of it’

Mummy Miller

Making the decision to start writing a blog is different for everyone and I love to find out how and why people decided to start blogging. So, when Louise shared with us, Why I Started Blogging, I couldn’t wait to read it. I started my blog to capture the girls childhood, as it was going by so quickly and I wanted to have a place where I could look back and remember all those little moments and milestones. If you missed this one, why not pop over for a read now and find out why Louise started her blog…

Looking for new blogs to read? Why not pop over and take a look at these, you won’t be disappointed.

What lovely choices Laura and I couldn’t agree more on the quote from Sarah – it’s so true that kids don’t need much. More often than not, they just want your attention, even if that means just sitting next to them while they play.

As for the salted caramel filo…say no more! I can’t get enough of that stuff! Thanks again for being such wonderful hosts with Katy! Best wishes, Ruth xx #SharingtheBlogLove

Those filo parcels caught my eye straight away last week, great to see them featured. And I always enjoy reading why people choose to blog, everyone’s reasons are slightly different. #SharingTheBlogLove

These are all fab. I especially like Mummy Times Two because it is reassuring to know we are parenting right, even though we question ourselves daily.
