I hope everyone is having a lovely summer holidays! Alice is over her chicken pox and we are starting to enjoy the holidays together. It was another great week of fabulous posts and here are my favourites for you all to enjoy.
Now I love a list, it makes me feel organised and that I have a plan. So, when I read this post from Family Makes it made me excited and I want to do the same. Our Summer Bucket and Spade List is all about what the family want to do during their time in France. What I loved the most is that each family member gets their own list, so that during their time there they can all do what they love. The holidays can go by really fast and before you know it we will be in September and back to school, or starting school in my case. So, after reading this I asked Alice what she would like to do over the holidays and we have our own mini version of fun things to do over the summer.
There are some posts you read and within the first couple of sentences you feel connected to it. This is how I felt when I read Charlie’s post, Love is all you need.
“This morning I said to my partner Jay that I love Noah more every day.
Instantly I felt guilty for saying that – as if it in some way negated the feelings I had for him before today.
But it’s not that at all.”
Such a beautifully written post about how love does grow every day and I can totally relate to that. Just when you think you couldn’t love them any more they move onto the next phase in life and you love what that brings to your life. Love is such a powerful thing, it can take over and totally consume you. The love that you have for your children is like no other.
Well I feel like I have missed the memo! Am I the only one that hasn’t heard of water beads?
Squidgy and Boo has written a great post ‘Water Beads‘, talking you through how they work and a fun way of playing with them in the paddling pool. It definitely looks like a fun activity that I know my girls would love.
Little Steps, wrote this post ‘T’s Orbeez Summer‘ sharing with us where her daughter got her love of water beads from. I love the idea of choosing a colour each night and leaving them to grow overnight. Letting her Elsa and Anna dolls swim with them, Alice would LOVE this! T loves to play with her water beads on a wet day.
So, it seems like I have been missing out on a fun and easy activity that can work both indoors and outdoors. I will be putting that right and buying some water beads.
As soon as I saw the title ‘Yes, I’m still Tired!‘, my heart went out to Fi. I love how totally honest this post is, motherhood is tough and this is reality for a lot of mums. Sharing with us what life is like for her right now and the challenges she faces.
What I really liked was how Fi recognised that she needed to make changes and came up with a realistic plan and goals to make her life easier and more manageable. I know that I could really do with following her lead and making some plans to help me.
I am sure you will love reading these just as much as me and it would be lovely if you popped over to show them some blog love…
