Sleep, Growing Up and Dinner Out…Happy Days #11

Don’t you wish every week started with a Bank Holiday, makes such a difference having that extra day at the weekend. Alice has been on half term from preschool and it has been lovely to have her home all the time. The week has flown by and I can’t believe I am writing my Happy Days post again.

 Lets talk happy moments…

bullet heartWe finally got round to building Alice’s new bed on Monday. Her old bed got damaged in our house move and desperately needed changing. She loved it and her face said it all. What I wasn’t expecting is she now sleep’s all night in it and no longer wakes up several times a night. This makes me sooooo happy…fingers crossed it continues!

bullet heartAlice had a friends birthday party at a soft play centre and it was really lovely to see her run off and play with her friend. It was really strange to just watch her and not have to climb through it all with her. My little girl is growing up.

Since we have been back from our holiday Alice and Holly have been playing together so much more. It’s really cute watching them wander around the house playing their little games.

bullet heartAndy and I went to our friends house for dinner, which we hardly ever do. It was lovely to chat without the children distracting us, eat delicious food that I didn’t have to cook and have time as a couple.

bullet heartSelling our pushchair for more than we paid for it! We got a real bargain when we brought it new and the bids went crazy on eBay…plus I now get to shop for a smaller, more lightweight one.

We have a quiet weekend planned and I am so ready for it…

Oh fabulous news about the new bed! Lia was in a bed for the first time on holiday and we really need to get them some bunk beds now to keep the momentum going, she’s definitely ready for it. Hopefully we’ll have the same success story of sleeping all night!

I definitely agree, 4 day weeks should be a regular thing! Sounds like a great week, I’m so happy for you that Alice is sleeping through in her new bed, long may it last! It’s making me think more seriously about getting the bunk beds that my girls have been asking for xx

Ah a change of pushchair is much needed in this household as our family grows. Sleeping through the night sure is fantastic I think if they do wake it’s usually due to needing milk, the cold etc. #HappyDaysLinky

  4. Well done to Alice on sleeping through in her new bed – she certainly looks very happy with it in the photo. How lovely that you managed to have some couple time too and selling your pushchair for more than you paid for it is always good! 🙂
