Capturing Those Moments to Treasure Forever…

When I pictured being a mummy one image that I always had was all of us in bed together for morning snuggles, what I didn’t picture was the clock saying 5.30am, but that’s a different story. I just had vision’s of my children waking up and running to our room and jumping into bed with us.

Now that I am a mummy, of course it’s not exactly how I pictured it Alice does now run to our room. But, Holly calls to be lifted out of her cot and into our arms. But, I always carry her up to our room and we snuggle in bed together.

These are some of my favourite moments, they always look so cute in their pyjamas and their messy hair. They are still a bit sleepy and wanting to cuddle up for sleepy snuggles.

Holly just loves getting into my side pulling the duvet up and saying ‘sleep mummy’ and this is a moment that I don’t want to forget, I want to picture it forever. But I know that it will soon be a moment that will be replaced with new ones, because as hard as we try we can’t remember them all. It’s the reason I started my blog, to capture all our family memories, however small they may be.

And what would we do without the camera on our phone, when we can quickly grab it to capture those moments we want to hold onto forever. I take hundred’s of photos on my phone and have so many moments that I can look back on forever, which without my phone I would never have. The moment would have passed by the time I found my camera, turned it on and press the button.

Capturing Holly saying ‘sleep mummy’, makes me smile every time I look at it. It captures everything about my funny little girl. Her curly hair, the screwing up of her face and her cheeky smile.

Without my camera phone I wouldn’t have captured this moment to look back on forever and it makes me think back to when I was a little girl and all the moments that my mum would have loved to capture of me and couldn’t. Even if she had been quick and caught it, who know’s what it would be like until she sent of the film to be processed. Just writing that seems strange, we are a generation that has everything at our fingertips.

The camera phone has given us so much and I am happy that I can capture those ‘ X Moment’s’ in life…

Aww that’s so lovely. We enjoy morning snuggles in our house too, although I often have to walk the dogs while my husband gets the lazy mornings in bed at the moment. That photo is fabulous, what a lovely memory.

Love the photo, so cute. I keep meaning to try and catch Archie the second he wakes up as he does this adorable stretching thing he’s done since he was a newborn – need to be prepared. #bloggerclubuk

Yes, this!! This is what I thought about being a Mum too – I look forward to bed snuggles! I want to do so much with my little man, I should probably write them down! So sweet, and such a cute photo! Treasured memories. 🙂 x

It is so lovely to be able to capture those little moments, isn’t it? Sleepy snuggles in the morning are so lovely aren’t they (even if they are a bit on the early side) and that photo of Holly is just adorable. #bloggerclubuk

That photo is so precious! I’ve always wanted to be a mum. Like you, I pictured kids coming in to join us in THE MORNING. I didn’t picture a 5 year-old (almost six) still sleeping on our bed yet again. Admittedly though, I secretly love it too 🙂

I occasionally get 5.30am snuggles and I love them. My little boy is so affectionate and often wraps his little arms around my neck and snuggles into me. I think it would have to be one of my all-time favourite things. It would definitely be a hands down winner if it was perhaps an hour later! #bloggerclubuk

I so wish my mum had had a camera phone or a digital camera, I have hardly any photos of me as a child and even the ones we do have are stand and say cheese rather than ‘moments’. This is a gorgeous moment x

I love this too, expects, lay the bed head and warm snuggles, which lasts for a couple of minutes before they start asking questions!! I also don’t know where I would be without my phone to capture those moments. #BloggerClubUK

Aww so adorable! I am loving the camera on my phone too. It makes photography that more spontaneous and some of the phones out there have super quality cameras, almost better than proper cameras!

Awww I agree completely about how camera phones have given us this wonderful gift. That picture of her saying ‘sleep mummy’ is just soooo adorable.

Both mine refuse to get into bed with me, even for the briefest of snuggles, much to my sorrow¬

It’s sad to think that so many things are forgotten about with the passing of time. I so need to invest in a phone like yours. #BloggerClubUK

Its true, it is a good idea to capture even the smallest moments because at any given time you can blink and it is all gone too soon.

Cameras on our phones these days are a blessing. I have so many memories of Baba. I wish my parents had more snaps of my childhood. Maybe it would have helped me to remember those moments lost forever in my head.

I too love bedtime snuggles and whilst most parents wouldnt wish to consider sharing a bed with their child most nights, I tend to end up with my daughter snuggled into my side from around 3am onwards each night so I love waking with her.
