Adding The Personal Touches With Canvas Champ…

When we moved house just before Christmas I couldn’t wait to add all the personal touches, the little things that make a house a home. Interiors is one of my favourite things and I spend hours browsing for just the right things for each of the rooms.

For the first time I have a hallway that isn’t just a long corridor and we actually have quite a bit of space which I love. Of course it would have been more handy back when the girls were babies and I could have left them sleeping in the pushchair more easily. But that’s life.

As you come in through the front door you are greeted by the shoe rack with a sign that I love from our wedding….

Then in front of you there is a plant and even my stair basket makes it look quite homely. But, as your turn around to walk out, it can look a bit boring. So, I thought it would be nice to add some photos.

I take literally hundreds of photos of my girls, but I am pretty bad at actually printing them off or displaying them in my house. Moving house has been a great incentive for doing this and updating some old photos too, as all the ones I do have of Holly she is a baby and sadly she is no longer a baby, but a proper little girl.

When Canvas Champ got in touch to ask if I wanted to review their canvas’s, I thought about where would be a great place for a canvas. Wandering around the house and coming back down the stairs, it was staring me in the face. It would be perfect to have one on each of the walls as you walk back out of the hallway.

The space was crying out for some life in it. As it is a new build, we can’t paint the walls yet as we have to wait for the house to settle and they come back and so snagging etc for a year. Which means I want to bring some colour and decoration in other ways.

It took me ages to decide which photos of the girls to have put onto canvas, not all photos would work on a canvas. But I eventually choose two that complimented each other. I didn’t want to have one summer theme and one winter theme, if that makes sense. Or maybe it’s just me that thinks like this!

With my photos chosen, all I needed to do was decide the size and what colour I wanted the edging to be. If you don’t choose an edge colour then it will arrive with like a mirror of your image around the edge, which looks a bit weird to be. I went for a white edge.

The Edge…

Canvas Champ sent me an example before it was put on to the canvas so I could make sure it was as I wanted. It wasn’t long until they arrived and I couldn’t wait to see them.

I wasn’t disappointed. Photos look so different on canvas and these really have come to life.

Seeing them hung on the wall brings a smile to my face every time I walk down the stairs, go to leave the house or walk between the rooms. I think it’s completed this little space perfectly.

The best bit about Canvas Champ is that you get a great canvas at a great price and that is a fair thing these days.

Disclosure: We were sent both our canvas in return for an honest review. As always all views and opinions are my own.
