“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

It’s my last Living Arrows post for 2020. What a year it has been! When I wrote my first Living Arrows post at the start of the year, we had no idea what was ahead of us. We certainly didn’t expect to spend Christmas without family.

It was very strange with it just being the four of us all day. However the girls were still just as excited as any other year and it was still magical seeing Christmas through their eyes. Both of them still truly believe and it melts my heart to see them. On Christmas Day at about 4.45pm when it was dark, we had a lovely walk around our village to see all the Christmas lights. Everyone had really made an effort this year, and it was like our own light trail. The girls went to bed with smiles on their face and telling us they had a great Christmas and that is all I ever wish for them.

The last few days have meant days at home, with just our daily exercise. Lockdown life as we know it. My photos this week are from one of our walks, when we found a rope swing and the girls squealed with delight.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, even if like us, it was different and without family. I wish you all a Happy New Year!
