Its been a different week, as the girls have been on half term. They finished last Friday and we were already for a break. No school runs and after school clubs, and its been lovely. The girls were really tired and because of Storm Dennis we started half term very relaxed. On Saturday we didn’t leave the house and it was just what we all needed. We ventured out on Sunday for lunch, to get out the house and the weather was a bit better.
We then spent the week seeing friends and family. Andy had a couple of days off with us, which was lovely. I don’t normally like February half term, it can be wet and miserable making it harder to entertain the girls. And whilst the weather hasn’t been great, we’ve had a lovely week together.
Here is a little snapshot of my week…
A Relaxed Weekend… We had a lovely relaxed weekend, thanks to Storm Dennis. Holly did some work towards getting a Rainbows badge, which she loved doing. I even got the painting out, which doesn’t happen every often! On Sunday we went out for lunch, which was lovely to get out. It was a great start to the half term.
Baking And Time At Home… One day it was just the girls and I, with no real plans. We took a trip into town and did a few jobs. Then in the afternoon the girls did some baking and played together. Whilst these days can sometimes be the hardest ones, they do love their time at home to just play.
A Day With My Parents… The girls and I spent the day with my parents, which we always love to do during the holidays. Going to Nanny’s house, (its never grandads house :-)) is something they always ask to do. We stayed there for the morning and had lunch. Then Mum and I took the girls to a local gymnastics club, and the girls had a great time. We ended the day in a cafe, for much needed coffee and snack for the girls.
Bowling And Seeing Friends…Andy had Wednesday off work, and we arranged to spend the day with our friends. We were originally going to Warwick Castle, but with the weather forecast not looking great we decided not to go. Instead we went bowling and out for lunch, which was lots of fun. The girls loved seeing their friend and it was nice to see them all.
This weekend… The girls are having a sleepover at my parents house tonight, and Andy and I are going out with friends. I can’t wait, its just what I need after a busy week with the girls. Alice has a birthday party on Sunday and that’s about it for our weekend.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
