My Little Snapshots…

We’re all limping to the end of the summer term! It’s such a busy term with lots happening at school and with Alice leaving the infants, there are a lot of leaving activities going on. I feel like I am going to forget something before the end of term.

Its been another week of helping at the school again and trying to get as much work done as possible, ahead of the girls finishing for the summer. I can’t wait to have them home.

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

Mini Festival… On Friday early evening, we all headed to a mini festival in our village. It was the first time we had been and we had a brilliant time. There was so much for the children to do and we stayed a lot longer than we had planned too. We loved it!

Country Dancing… Alice had been chosen to represent the school at the village fete and do country dancing. She has been practising at school and was so excited. It was lovely to watch her and the other children. Very proud!

Time In The Garden… On Sunday I took Holly to a birthday party and then in the afternoon we had some much needed chilled out time in the garden. I love this time of year when you can be outside in the garden, having fun, but not doing too much. Alice had brought a bracelet making set from the fete for 20p and sat in the garden for ages making them for all her friends.

Trip To The Hairdresser… I went for a much needed trip to my hairdressers. It had grown so much this last time and now I’ve booked to go a week earlier than I normally do, to try and keep it more tame! I’ve had the same hairdresser since I was 15 years old, and we always have a great chat and its a chance to relax.

End Of Rainbows… This week Alice had her last session at Rainbows. She has been going every week for two years and has loved every week. She has had some great visits and done things that she wouldn’t have otherwise done and I will always be grateful to the parents that volunteer to give the girls this opportunity. I’m now waiting to see if Holly gets a place in September, as she has patiently been waiting to turn 5 and have her turn.

This weekend…  Today Andy has headed to Croyde with his friends to celebrate his birthday, which is next month. Which means its the girls and I for the whole weekend. I’ve got a friend coming over tonight to have a few drinks, while the girls are asleep. Then we don’t really have any plans, except going to the school summer fete on Sunday. I can’t wait to spend time with them and relax a bit, ahead of the last full week of school.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
