My Little Snapshots…

Its the end of our third week of the school holidays. The girls and I have fallen into a summer routine and I’m quite liking it. It’s been a mixed week with the weather, but we’ve mainly had a nice weather and have been out and about.

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

Day Out With Friends… Last Friday we had a day out to Mottisfont with our friends. The girls have known them all their lives and the four girls all get on really well together. It was a lovely day, we did the trail, had a picnic and finished with an ice cream. A lovely summers day!

First Time At An Outdoor Cinema… Friday night I went to my first outdoor cinema experience with my friends and loved it. We arrived with our camping chairs, fizz and popcorn and settled in. We had a good old chat, before the film started a couple of hours later. We watched Bohemian Rhapsody and it was brilliant, I absolutely loved it! It was such a lovely evening and I can’t wait to do it again. Next time I will bring more clothes to keep warm!

Spontaneous Day Out… On Sunday we had a spontaneous day out to The Vyne with my parents. Andy went car shopping and then came to join us. We arrived in time for lunch and then we start on the lawn in deckchairs while the girls played around us. For the first time we went into the house, the girls had these passports to do a trail around the house and Alice really enjoyed learning about the olden times. It was a lovely day out.

Play Dates… One thing that I’ve learnt since Alice started school, that during the holidays its good to inject other children into our days. The girls adore each other, but being together 24/7 can be a bit intense. Adding other children into the mix really helps. The girls both had a friend over to play and they loved seeing them. They all played really well together and play dates are definitely easier in the summer.

A Day At Home… Yesterday we had a day at home. It was needed!

This weekend…  Its a weekend of getting things done. We’ve got three birthday in this house and our family holiday to get ready for. I don’t feel prepared at all. I’m hoping that will change by Sunday!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
