After being off for 11 days, the girls went back to school on Tuesday, It was lovely to have them off school, they needed a much needed rest and I do enjoy having no routine for a while. The lazy mornings, the slower days and the endless laughter and cuddles I get from them.
With the girls back at school the rest of the week I’ve been trying to catch up on work.
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
A Mini Break… On Friday we packed our bags and headed to Brighton for a few days. We had been looking forward to it, and it was the girls first time there. We had every type of weather while we were there, but that didn’t stop us doing what we had planned. We walked along the beach, went up the i360 tower, visited the Sealife centre and drank hot chocolates. It was really lovely to have some family time, a chance to see Brighton and also relax.
Visiting A New National Trust… On our drive to Brighton, we stopped of at UpPark National Trust. When we arrived it was a damp foggy day, and we headed to the cafe for a coffee. The girls enjoyed a hot chocolate and shortbread. UpPark looks like a beautiful place, and on a clear day you’re meant to be able to see the Isle of Wight. We’re going to come back next year on a warmer day.
9 Years Married.. This week Andy and I celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary. I can’t believe its been 9 years since, but it also feels like a life time ago. I’m a lucky girl to have married someone that I love more every day, who makes me smile every day and who is a brilliant Daddy to our girls, they adore him. We managed to go out for lunch together, which is one advantage of having both girls at school. Next year is our tenth anniversary and we’re hoping to go away to celebrate.
Downton Abbey… I loved Downton Abbey when it was on the television and I recently went to see the film at the cinema. Which was brilliant! It made me want to go back and watch it all over again. I’m slowly making my way through the series, and enjoying reliving it. I really hope they make another film, as it was really well done and it felt like watching the series without the adverts.
This weekend… Its our local firework night on Saturday and we’re hoping to head there if the rain stays away. On Sunday we have friends coming over and Alice is doing the remembrance service with Brownies, which we will all go to.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
