My Little Snapshots…

What a week it’s been. After a lovely weekend, where we had a brilliant time at the LaplandUK Wishing Store, and the girls got to write their letters to Father Christmas. On Sunday evening Alice woke up and was sick. The sickness only lasted an hour, but it meant the next two days off school. On Tuesday evening, as we were getting ready for Alice to go back to school on Wednesday and getting back to normal, I was then sick. Unfortunately I had it much worse than the girls, and its only today that I’m starting to feel normal again. Which is why I am only writing this post this morning, I haven’t been able to do any work since Tuesday and I now have a lot to catch up on. So, this week, might not be that exciting!

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

A Shopping Day… At the weekend we went shopping with the girls, and whilst they are really good in the shops. You just can’t browse the same. You need to know what you need to buy and just go and get it. We did have a lovely time and enjoyed a nice Nando’s lunch too. Then we came home and snuggled on the sofa with the kittens.

Time With Alice… With Alice being sick on Sunday night it meant 48 hours off school, but by Tuesday she was 100% better. It was like having a bonus day with her. We did some of her school work, that we have available online and read a book together. Whilst I wouldn’t wish them to be poorly, it was lovely to have this time with her.

Watching Downton Abbey.. Since watching Downton Abbey at the cinema, it made me want to go back and rewatch the series. Which I have been doing over the last few weeks and being poorly in bed this week I finished them. I really enjoyed going back over it, I had forgotten so much that had happened. It makes me want to watch the film again now.

Appreciating Family and Friends…  One thing that I’ve never been very good at is asking for help, or accepting help. Its something I’ve tried to get better at over the years. But when you’re struck down with an illness that you can’t leave the house, you have to rely on others to get the children to school and home. I’ve really appreciated my family and friends that have either helped, or offered to help me out this week. It really means a lot.

This weekend…  Tomorrow we’re off to see Father Christmas and the girls are SO excited. I will be sharing more with you about it next week. On Sunday we’re going out with my family for my Mum’s birthday which will be lovely. We are going to be putting the tree up too and I can’t wait!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
