This week has been my first full week back to work, as the girls didn’t go back until Tuesday last week. It was hard going last week, but this week I was determined to be more motivated and organised. I always find this time of year the hardest to get back into work mode. I don’t think the weather has helped, it has been really cold, wet and windy. Hopefully we seen the last of it for now. The girls are on snow watch, they are desperate for it to snow.
Here is my little snapshot of the last couple of weeks…
A Night Out With Friends… I always find it hard to drag myself out in the evenings at this time of year. Its dark and cold and the sofa looks far too comfortable. But when I do, I’m always pleased I did make the effort. I went round a friends house, with a few others and whilst they drank gin. Something that I’ve never tried! I decided not to drink, as I had a party to take Alice to in the morning. It was lovely to catch up properly after the holidays.
Walk In The Woods… On Sunday we went out for a walk in the woods. The girls took a basket with their binoculars to look for things and collect things. It was quite a mild day and we walked a lot further than we normally do. It was just what we all needed and then we came home for hot chocolate.
After School Clubs.. This was the first proper week back with all the girls after school clubs starting up again. It was also Holly’s first time at Rainbows. She has been looking forward to starting for such a long time, having seen Alice go for two years. It was finally her time and she was very excited. She came home very happy and declared it the best ever!
Cold Feet… The new series of Cold Feet started on Monday and it was nice to have something that we love to watch. I think they’ve done a really great job of bringing Cold Feet back and the story lines have been brilliant. Its made Monday’s a lot better!!
This weekend… We have a nice quiet weekend and are going to my parents for a roast dinner on Sunday. If the weather is nice, we will go for a walk too.
