I didn’t write my post last week and this will cover over the last couple of weeks. I haven’t felt myself this week and I’ve not been able to put my finger on why. At times my stomach has been knotted with anxiety. I’ve retreated this week and stayed at home more, been kind to myself and its definitely helped. Anxiety is a strange thing at times, it comes in waves and it can consume me. I have managed to have some lovely moments before it hit me, which I was grateful for.
Here is my little snapshot of the last couple of weeks…
A Spa Day… Last week, my friend and I headed to a spa for the day. We planned it last year and its been really nice to have something to look forward too. To get us through the month of January, which felt like the longest month ever. It was really lovely to spend time with my friend, to relax, have a couple of treatments, a delicious lunch, read my book and just sit and chat. We had the most gorgeous views over the new forest and it was a much needed day.
Running… I’ve started to go running and have been a few times now. I wanted to do something to keep fit and it doesn’t cost me anything, and I can go when I can fit it in. Which suits me. I can’t say that I enjoy it, maybe I will over time. But, I know that its good for my body and mind and I hope I can keep it up. I’m only running a short distance to begin with, but I am managing to run the whole time and it has got easier the more I do it. I will never be a natural runner!
Football ..Holly has started to play football for our local time and after a nervous start, she is now enjoying it. I went and watched her last week and it was really lovely to see her enjoying herself. When we had two girls, Andy didn’t think that he would be a football dad, but it seems he might be now. Its lovely that she has only passion for what she wants to do and my girls are very different in character. which I love. Next time I watch, I must remember my coffee to keep me warm!
A Day Out With Friends… At the weekend we had a day out to Mottisfont National Trust with our friends. I love it when friends have passes too, it makes it a really easy way to meet up and have a nice day out. The children all got on great and ran for miles. It was such a lovely easy day out, which are my favourite kind.
This weekend… Holly has two parties this weekend and she is very excited about them. Other than that, its a quiet weekend for us and a chance to get jobs done, homework done and I can spend some time with Alice, while Andy does one of the parties.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
