Pinch punch first of the month! How is it October already? We are on the countdown to half term already, how is that possible. This week has been filled with colds and sickness bugs in our house, which has not been much fun. But as always when you think you’ve had a bad week, there are happy moments too.
Lets talk happy moments…
Last weekend I went to BlogOn in Manchester. I had a road trip with the lovely Aby and we stayed overnight, all ready for the conference on Sunday. It was so much fun and great to see so many lovely bloggers. I learnt a few things too!
Alice had her first school photo this week, she was so proud telling me all about it. I can’t wait to see it, there is something so grown up about an official school photo.
Holly and I have had colds and she has wanted extra snuggles on the sofa. I love those snuggles so much!
Alice’s school had some work done over the summer holidays and this week they opened the new school library. They invited parents in after school to look around. Alice loved showing me around, telling me where they stood in line for lunch, her peg, and of course the new school library. I love how much she is enjoying school.
Alice came down with a sickness bug on Wednesday night and we didn’t get much sleep. She spent Thursday on the sofa, but thankfully got better throughout the day. She woke up yesterday feeling lots better, but of course they can’t go back to school for 48 hours. Which meant that we had a bonus day at home with her. Of course I don’t wish her to be poorly, but it was nice to spend some extra time with her.
This weekend I am taking Alice for her swimming lesson, she is desperate to show me what she learnt last week when I was away. We are having friends over for dinner on Saturday night, which we haven’t done for ages and really should do it more often. Then on Sunday Alice has her first party from a school friend, she is beyond excited!
