I’m back with another A Day In The Life Of… It’s a chance for other bloggers to share what a typical day looks like for them. I’m proper nosey and I love to see what people get up to in their day. It’s also a great chance for you to find some more blogs that you might like to follow.
Today we have Grumpy Mum, a mum to one and step mum to two, living in Wiltshire.
Here is what a typical day looks like for her:
05.00-06.00: Wake up with Baby babbling at me for milk. Feed and change her with my eyes practically closed and then fall back into bed.
06.00-08.00: Promise myself that I will go back to sleep because I’m exhausted but after 10 minutes end up on my phone or working on my laptop, all the while reminding myself that I will regret not getting an extra couple of hours sleep.
08.00-09.00: Get Baby up and changed again… how does this baby make so many dirty nappies? Head downstairs and take a few minutes to have some toast and a cup of tea while Baby goes crazy on her play mat.
09.00-11.00: Yep, it’s time for Baby to have more milk and if I’m really lucky she’ll have had a poo. What a glamourous life I lead! With any luck after a little bit of playing she will want a little nap and I’ll be able to able to put the laundry on and maybe do a little blogging.
11.00-13.00: Oh God, I still haven’t had a shower, did I have one yesterday? What day is it anyway? Once Baby wakes I trundle off for a shower with baby staring at me transfixed, through the steamed up glass… She won’t let me go to the loo but apparently I am allowed a shower. Once I’m clean it’s time to get some lunch which Baby may or may not let me eat, it’s a bit of a lottery.
15.00-17.00: Baby wakes up and remembers that she’s teething and must spend the rest of the day crying or sleeping. She was such a happy baby this morning, I’m not sure what happened. Teen and Grumpy Dad have arrived home and are busy wafting about and changing the TV channel… I was watching that!
17.00-20.00: The lovely Grumpy Dad makes the dinner and we all sit down together to eat and watch a bit of TV. What happened to the day? I’m sure I only just got up. Baby needs more food and another change and I miss half of the TV show because baby and I are growling at each-other (She has decided that she wants to be a bear instead of a baby).
20.00-21.00: It’s time for Baby to have some quality time with daddy while mummy has some quality time with the washing up and tidies up the days destruction.
21.00-22.00: The best time of the day. Baby is ready for bed and we have a nice long snuggle over her last bottle before she goes down in her cot next to me and chatters and blows raspberries until she falls asleep.
22.00 – to some god awful time past midnight!: Time to get on with some serious blogging work, reply to emails, write posts, take part in linkys and do some marketing.
