Girlfriends, A Cosy Jumper and The Slowness of January…Little Loves

It’s been a pretty normal week for me this week. I love the simplicity of our weeks, Holly and I have our little routine while Alice is at school and we are all really happy with it.

Read

I read the most beautiful blog post by Laura at Five Little Loves. Her daughter Eva has been struggling with going to school for the past 15 months. Every morning begging Laura not to go, crying every day in the school line and leaving Laura distraught. Laura has tried everything, she has reached out on Instagram begging for advice from fellow parents.

Then Eva’s teacher called Laura into class just after Christmas and gave Laura a life line. They say that there is always one teacher that will make a difference to your life and this teacher is someone I know both Laura and Eva will never forget. After 15 long months, Eva now walks into school every day with a smile on her face.

If you want to have a read, here is the post. Have your tissue ready!

Watched

I had a binge catch up watching the ITV show Girlfriends and I’m loving it. It’s got a really great cast and I can’t wait to watch more. Shows like this make me feel better about my own life!!

Heard

Now don’t laugh at me! I know that I’m really late to the party on this one. But this week I’ve been listening to Ed Sheeran and whilst of course I have heard the odd song when it’s come on he radio, I never really put his music on at home and really listened to the songs.

He is amazing and I’m now sad that I didn’t do this before as I would’ve loved to see him on tour this year.

Made

I know it only feels like the children went back to school after Christmas, but our half term is really early this year because of Easter being early too. So I’ve started to make some plans as I know the next 3 weeks are going to whizz by and it will be here.

We have a short break away planned and we will be using our Merlin Passes for the first time and heading to Legoland Windsor Resort, which I can’t wait to do.

Wore

I love a jumper and I probably own more than one person needs, but I can’t resist them. But I always have a favourite and this is my current favourite.

And Lastly…

I’m loving the slowness that January brings. Holly and I are back in our daily routine with Alice at school and I think we both quite like the way the days work for us. Holly is a little girl that loves to sit and play with her toys, while I potter around her tidying the house.

A different week for me this week, it will definitely be a more normal week next time.
