Since moving into our new house at Christmas we’ve slowly being making it a home. It is nearly how we would like it, apart from decorating which we can’t do at the moment as it’s a new house and we have to wait for the house to settle.
One room that has been completely neglected is our bedroom. Some of our furniture got damaged in the move and I would love to replace it, but that isn’t going to happen for a while. I managed to position it to ensure you can’t see the damage. But, apart from hanging the curtains we have literally put our furniture in the room and left it.
When Red Candy got in touch to ask if we would like to work with them and help make our house a home. I knew that our bedroom was the place that needed the most love.
Our furniture is grey and I wanted something that would compliment it and would fill a space on the wall that looked plain and boring.
When I saw this grey and white multi photo frame I knew it would be perfect. Until now I only had one photo in our bedroom and with all the photos I take (please tell me I’m not alone), I really want to display some photos of the girls.
I love that the frame has six 6×4″ photos and two 3×3″ photos, as these are a perfect size. I’m not a fan of frames that have lots of little fiddle size frames.
The hardest part was deciding which photos to go in the frame. We’ve recently been to some bluebell woods and got some beautiful photos of the four of us and the girls. These were a definite to be included.
It’s so easy to just choose photos of the girls from this moment in time, but I also really want to remember what they were like when they were little. So, I choose one of my favourite photos of the two of them in the swing. It’s also really important to remember where our little family started, with just Andy and I. I adored our wedding day and at the moment in the house we don’t have many photos from our wonderful day.
Alice recently had her first ride on a pony and she was so proud of herself and happy. As the girls get older the milestones become less, so it was nice to capture this milestone of Alice and display the moment.
And I just love this cheeky photo of Holly at the park recently. It sums up her character so much. The final photo I took was of the girls running, which they do all the time and I love how happy they look.
With the photos decided and arranged in the photo frame. It was time to put it on the wall and as I am the DIY person in our house this was done straight away. No waiting around for Andy to do it in this house.
I’m so pleased with how it looks on the wall and it makes me smile every time my eye catches it. It’s definitely done it’s job and made a boring space come alive. The frames are white and two different shades of grey, which works really well.
The Maderia VI Multi Frame has a RRP of £49, but at the time of writing this it’s currently in the sale at £44.10. It comes in other colours too.
Even Andy noticed it straight away when he came home, so that is another win right there…
