This week has flown by and we’ve been crazy busy with our exciting news!
Let’s talk happy moments…
Last Saturday was a big day in our house. We sold out house and we brought a new one, all within a few hours of each other. Andy and I were a bit shell shocked by it all. But, we are really excited and we should be in before Christmas!
The clocks completely messed the girls up on Sunday and by 9am we were up and ready for the day. We asked Alice what she wanted to do and she said to go riding on her bike. It was a lovely Sunday morning and the girls both had fun on their bikes. We then headed to the coffee shop for hot chocolate and cake to warm up.
During half term the girls and I went pumpkin picking and Andy promised to help them carve out their pumpkins. Neither Andy or I had done this before. We all had great fun doing it and the girls loved the finished results. I get a bit paranoid about naked flames around, so we popped them on the patio in the back garden and the girls watched them from the sofa. I think this will become a family tradition.
Alice had an inset day on Monday and Andy was able to take the day off work, which was lovely. We took the girls to a soft play a bit further away from us and they loved it so much. The best bit was because it was Halloween, Alice was desperate to get home and put on her witch’s outfit, so we had no complaints when it was time to leave.
I had a lovely morning meeting up with the lovely Donna. We talked so much that the time just flew by and it went far too quickly. Whilst it’s lovely for the children to all meet up, it was nice just the two of us and actually be able to have a conversation. I love that blogging has brought new people into my life.
As it’s Bonfire night today, we will be making some more of our quick and easy Bonfire cakes ready to take over to my parents house later. Sunday is our wedding anniversary and Andy is whisking me off to Bath, one of my favourite places ever.
