Hello February! It’s been a miserable week here and hasn’t stopped raining. Plus we all have colds, again! But I won’t moan.
Let’s talk happy moments…
Last Sunday we had my family over for the day, as my parents flew to Australia this week for a whole month. It was a chance for my parents to see us all, before they headed off. It’s always lovely when we get a chance to all be together. The girls love their cousin and the three girls have so much fun together. I don’t think there was any arguments either, that is a first!
As I just said, my parents have gone to Australia for a month and whilst we will miss them so much. I am not sure how I will get through the month! But, putting my own selfishness to one side, I am really happy they have’ve gone. It’s a place they’ve always wanted to go and I just know they are going to love it, just as much as we did.
This week at school Alice got the top reward, she has been trying so hard to get it and it finally happened. She has been so close, so many times and to see her little face run out to tell me was wonderful to see. All night she kept telling us the three things she had done that day to get it. Then yesterday it was assembly and they read her name out and she had to stand up. It was so sweet listening to her tell me all about. We couldn’t be any prouder of her.
Holly and I normally have her ballet class on a Friday, but it was cancelled this week. So, instead we popped to the shops and Holly asked if she could buy a car set, which just happened to be in the sale and was a bargain at £5. When we got home, she played with it for over an hour. She is a little girl that loves her babies and pushing them around. But she is also a little girl that loves car and diggers. Which has meant us buying some, as Alice was never into them. I love that she has so many different interests.
A couple of weeks ago we brought Holly new bedroom furniture, as we moved her from a cot to a bed. Our friends are pregnant and we offered them Holly’s old nursery furniture and they were delighted to have it. So, last weekend Andy and his friend did a couple of trips taking the furniture to their house. Whilst it was sad to see the furniture that both my girls had in their nursery leave our house, it was lovely that it was going to a good home. Then one day this week, there was a knock on the door and it was a delivery of flowers. I had no clue who they could be from and it was from our friends to say thank you. It was really lovely of them to send them and they are so pretty.
This weekend we are going to meet Andy’s cousin new baby, which we are looking forward to. On Sunday we are off sofa bed shopping, so maybe not that exciting for many, but I love it.
