We’ve always been a family that have loved to go on walks and enjoy the outside life, whatever the weather. Well I probably wouldn’t go out in the rain, but if it’s been raining and is damp I don’t mind.
We just make sure that we’re dressed in our wellies and the right clothes. Recently the girls were sent some Dry Kids Fleece Lined Dunagrees and they’ve been trying them out.
A couple of times a week after we’ve dropped Alice at school, Holly and I will go to our local woods for a walk. I find it a nice peaceful time to go and a great way to start our morning. Holly has clearly been watching too much of her friend Peppa Pig and likes to jump in muddle puddles and I’ll be honest I don’t normally like the mess.
That’s all changed now thanks to her new dungarees. I don’t mind her jumping in the mud and if she falls over then not only does it protect her a bit from grazing her knee, but her clothes are still clean and dry underneath.
They are really easy to put on as they just clip over her shoulder, which also means if Holly already has her coat on I can still get them on without taking it off!
Holly just spotted a dog when I took this photo…..!
The material is really soft and you can wipe it easily.
They are perfect for our winter walks.
Recently we were invited to go sledging at Snozone and this was a perfect time for Alice to try our her dungarees, she has the same pair as Holly. With them being fleece lined, I knew they would keep her nice and warm. They do have the exact same pair that are unlined if you need them.
Alice had a quick try on session at home to make sure she was already for sledging and she loved how cosy she was.
The dungarees were perfect in snow, as they go really high up her chest which meant that no snow could get into the top of her trousers and make her cold. With the straps nice and secure there was literally no gaps for cold air or snow to get into, keeping Alice nice and warm.
They have elastic ankle straps at the bottom of the dungarees, which can be worn either inside or outside of wellies that prevent the legs from riding up and the snow getting in.
It’s great that we now have these nice fleece lined dungarees from Dry Kids, that the girls can wear knowing they are going to be dry and warm whilst still having lots of fun.
You can buy the Dry Kids Fleeced Dungarees for £19.95 and the unlined dungarees for £16.95. They come in a selection of colours and start at age 2, right up to 12 years old.
We’re all hoping for snow this winter and being able to do more sledging. One thing I know for definite is we will be having lots of winter walks.
