Living Arrows 36/52 {2020}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

by Kahlil Gibran

It was our last week of the summer holidays and what a different summer holidays it has been. But, we’ve had a brilliant time and made the most of the days and our time together. We headed to Waddesdon Manor, which is a National Trust near Aylesbury. We’ve only been once before and that was in the dark, for their light trail at Christmas. It was lovely to go back and see it all in daylight.

It’s a beautiful place and the grounds are really big. It also has one of the best plays I’ve seen at a National Trust and it was open. Its set in the woodlands and there are lots of different sections, which made it easier to keep separate from other people. We took a picnic and brought an ice cream. It was a lovely day out.

The girls go back to school today, and it will be really quiet without them.
