“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
by Kahlil Gibran
It rained and rained and then rained some more this weekend. It was really miserable! We spent Saturday at home all day. The girls were happy playing, colouring and writing stories. We had a family game night and played Game of Life, which is always a favourite. I loved it as a child and I love playing it now with my own family.
On Sunday the girls and I made an apple crumble in the morning for our roast dinner. It rained for a lot of the day, but there was a gap in the afternoon and the girls and I went for a short walk to get some fresh air. Sometimes the girls aren’t always keen, as they are snuggled at home. At times like this I try and add something to the walk to get them out, as once they are out, they enjoy it. This time we did a tally chart of what coloured cars we spotted. Such a simple thing, but they were getting so excited when the spotted the colours they were looking for.
We then came home for hot chocolate and watched Strictly Come Dancing, from Saturday night.
