“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
by Kahlil Gibran
What a week it’s been. The girls had their last week at school and I was pleased that we made it to Friday. They had a fun last week at school and I’m grateful to their teachers for making it wonderful for them. This year, more than ever.
A while ago I booked the girls to see Father Christmas at our local garden centre. It felt like a safe option, as it’s only 2 minutes from our house and I hoped they would stay open.
With the news on Thursday that we were staying in tier 2, I was really pleased that we could still go. The girls were very excited and they had a great time. I feel incredibly lucky that we could make it happen this year.
The news on Saturday means that the next couple of weeks now look very different for us. I need to dust myself off, and make sure the girls still have a great Christmas. There will be a lot of walks, snuggly afternoons and eating all the food.
This will be my last post before Christmas and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
