We’ve reached the end of January and I couldn’t be happier. Its felt like a long wet month and I’ve struggled to get back into the swing of things since Christmas. It feels like every school pick up has been a wet one, and if its not been raining then its been freezing cold. I can’t keep up with whether I need an umbrella or my gloves.
Every week counting the days down to the weekend. We’ve been spending the weekends getting the house sorted and having a good clear out. The girls have been tired from school, as they settle back into it and its been nice to have a day home relaxing for them. On the other day, we’ve been going out and enjoying walks. There is nothing better than getting out for some fresh air.
Whilst January has felt long at times. What I do love about it, is the slower pace of life that it brings.
At the beginning of the month we went to our favourite beach. The girls thought we were crazy going in the winter and we had to explain to Holly that she couldn’t take her swimsuit and towel to sunbathe! But, she could take her bucket and spade and she was the happiest little girl building her sandcastles.
The girls loved jumping in the sea with their wellies on and writing their names in the sand. We had a lovely day out and you can’t beat the sea air. We definitely need to do it again in the colder months. I just wish we lived a bit closer to the beach.
Our photos this month are from our day at the beach. I love the light in these photos and how happy we look. I need to print these ones off and frame them.
