Meet Dusty The Garbage Truck…

Meet Dusty The Garbage Truck…

Do your children get every toy out they’ve ever owned and you look at your lounge in despair? Well meet Dusty The Garbage Truck who is here to save the day and tidy up the mess for you.

We’ve always encouraged our girls to tidy up after themselves and this became easier when Alice started preschool as they also had tidy up time and we adopted this at home. I also try to have the layout and the toy storage set in a way to make this easier for them. Everything has a home and they know where to put things.

But it’s also about making it fun to and when we were sent Dusty The Garbage Truck the fun really started.

Who is Dusty The Garbage Truck? Dusty is a fun way for kids to learn to clean up their toys. There is 3 ways that Dusty can help – eat it up, sweep it up, and dump it out!

To put Dusty to the test I got some of Holly’s cars and Paw Patrol toys out and dotted them around the lounge for her to get Dusty to tidy them up.

As Dusty goes along he has over 50 phrases that he says and he lights up too. He then eats them as he goes along and they go into the back of the truck.

Or there is a tube at the side that you can slide small toys down into the truck too.

When it’s time to empty the truck, there is a switch on the top that you move across, which releases the front part of the truck and you can lift it up to empty.

Dusty works on both carpet and hardwood floors, we tried it out on both and there really was no difference in what he can do.

Holly has loved playing with Dusty. It does take a bit of getting used to, to actually get it to pick up the toys as you go along. And to be honest she just loves to use it more as a garbage truck to play with, than a way to tidy to up her toys.

Dusty The Garbage Truck has a RRP of £44.99 and is available at Smyth’s Toys, Amazon and other toy shops.
