My Girls…October 2017

My Girls…October 2017

I know they say that when your child starts school the weeks flyby, but it’s crazy how quickly the last 6 weeks have gone and that my girls will be on half term in 4 days time. Not that I’m complaining I can’t wait to have them both home with me again for a week.

This last month has seen Alice settle into year one, which she loves. She also started Rainbows and its now a highlight of her week, they do such amazing things with them its no wonder she loves it.

We added an extra morning for Holly to go to preschool and she now goes two mornings a week. I was a little worried about how she would take to going after the long summer holidays, but she loves it even more than before. I guess that’s another sign that my baby girl is growing up. She loves the interaction with the other children and all the activities she gets to do.

Together my girls relationship continues to grow, change and if possible get even better. Holly gets so excited when its time to pick Alice up from school and when they are back together Alice always asks Holly how her day has been. She is such a caring big sister.

Alice can’t wait for Holly to join her at school next year and whilst I am definitely not ready for that, I know that when the time comes I will get comfort from the fact Alice is there to look out for her little sister. Mind you, Holly is an independent little girl and I’m not sure she will welcome it!

My photos this month are from our walk last weekend. We went in search of conkers and failed. We just don’t seem to be able to find any this year, much to the disappointment of Alice. But they still had fun collecting pine cones and leaves.
