My Little Snapshots…

This week has been ridiculously busy and I will be glad to get to the weekend. We came back from our holiday on Saturday and the girls went back to school on Monday. I’ve been busy with things at the girls school, going to a concert and trying to get back on top of my work after half term.

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

An Evening On The Beach… Friday was our last night in Devon and after dinner we walked to the beach near the hotel we were staying at. It was a gorgeous evening and we didn’t want it to end. Alice played cricket with Andy and Holly and I built sandcastles. We had an ice cream and it was a lovely evening.

A Spontaneous Trip… On Saturday as we left Devon to come home, it was another gorgeous day and we weren’t ready for our holiday to finish. Andy and an idea to divert and stop off at Lulworth Cove. It was a bit crazy, as it wasn’t exactly on our way home, but I’m glad we did. It was SO beautiful and even though the walk down and back up was tough. It was worth it.

School Trip… On Tuesday Alice had her school trip and I went to help out. It was at Marwell Zoo, which we love, but it’s very different going with the school! The responsibility of looking after the kids, I’ve never counted children so much!!! The children all had a great time and that’s all that matters. I will always be grateful that was able to do things like this.

Spice Girls .. After the Marwell Trip, I jumped in my car and drove to Coventry to see the Spice Girls in concert with my cousin. The traffic into Coventry was a nightmare, but thankfully we arrived in time. Jess Glynn was the support act and she was amazing too. The girls put on a good show, it was exactly what you would expect from them and it was a fun evening. Even if we then sat in the car park for an hour trying to get out! I didn’t get home until 1.10am and I’ve felt broken since. But it was worth it!

One to One Time with My Girls… For the next few weeks, Holly is doing multi skills after school on a Thursday and it means I get an hour with just Alice. Then when I pick Holly up, I drop Alice at Rainbows, so I then get an house with just Holly and I love it already. I may spend most of the time feeding them, but its nice to have this time with them both.

This weekend…  We have a weekend with no plans and I can’t wait. After the first week back to school, the girls need to relax!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
