My Little Snapshots…

What has happened to summer? It has been a wet and miserable week and I’m praying that the forecast for next is right and sunshine is on its way back. This week hasn’t been that exciting, just a week of our usual day to day stuff that happens. The weather has definitely meant I haven’t wanted to do much either and stayed at home trying to keep warm.

When I look at last week’s post and we spent the evening on the beach, what a difference a week makes!

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

Family Bowling Fun… After the first week back to school the girls were tired and we had a quiet weekend planned. On Saturday we went ten pin bowling, which has become one of our favourite things to do as a family. I had a discount code which helped! We had a great time and at one point I was even beating Andy, but as usual he won.

Bikes and Park… On Sunday afternoon the sun unexpectedly came out and the girls went to the park on our bikes and scooter. I love that they are now old enough to do this. It definitely makes leaving the park easier because they are excited to get back on their bike and scooter. I also like that I can ride with them and no longer have to walk fast!

Line Of Duty… Andy and I are whizzing through Line of Duty and its so good. We’ve finished series four this week and loved it. I’m a bit sad that we only have series 5 left to go before we are all caught up. Please tell me they will make another series?

Time Our For Me… This week I was invited to have a massage, which I will be sharing with you soon, and it was really nice to take a morning off work. I mean I was there because of my work, but you can’t really call going to a massage work. The work bit comes when I have to do my blog post. Anyway, it was near where my friend Donna lives and we had a catch up before I went and it was lovely to see her. After what had felt like the longest miserable week, it was nice to get out of the house for a while.

School Mums… I’ve shared on here before about how making school mum friends was always a big worry for me when both Alice and Holly started school. Alice it was the unknown, and I’m really lucky to have made some lovely friends who I meet up with and ask a favour. When it came to Holly starting, I knew I wanted to make friends with her year group too. Because I know what a difference it can be for me and for Holly. We’re nearly at the end of her first year and it’s nice to have met some lovely Mums this year too.

This weekend…  It’s Fathers Day this weekend, and whilst the weather looks miserable all weekend, I am sure we will find something fun to for Andy.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
