What a week! I think this week has been the busiest week of the year. I’m so pleased that we’re nearly at the end of it. We still have a week to go, until the end of school and the girls are very ready for it. I can’t wait to snuggle at home, drink hot chocolate and watch Christmas films with them.
I do need next week though to finish off my shopping, the wrapping and get organised. I feel behind this year, which is because I lost two weeks to all the sickness we had.
It also means that there hasn’t been many blog posts from me this week. A couple that are waiting for brand approval before I can post, and I have struggled to find the time to do any others. I did manage to get my tax return done though, which made me happy and relief to get it off my to do list!
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
School Mums Night Out… I had a school Mums night out, with the mums from Holly’s year. It was at our local pub and whilst it was a cold miserable night, I’m glad I made the effort to go. Since September I don’t feel like I get to see them as often at school, so it was nice to have a proper catch up.
A Quiet Weekend… At this time of year, you can feel the pressure to do Christmassy every moment you can. When we realised we didn’t have much on last weekend, Andy said don’t plan anything. Lets have a quiet weekend and he was right. We knew the girls had a busy week coming up, and it was just what they needed. We did some shopping, and enjoyed being at home.
Frozen 2.. Holly was invited to her friends birthday party, which was to go and see Frozen 2 and I went along with her. Holly isn’t a fan of films, and needs a bit of encouragement to watch them. But she loved it and so did I! They did a great job, I loved the story, the characters and the music. I also get to go and see it again, as Alice would like to see it too.
Christmas Nativity’s… This week we had both the girls Christmas plays and nativity. Alice’s was on Tuesday and I went along to the afternoon performance with my Mum. Alice was an angel, and she did a great job. The whole performance was brilliant and the songs were really catchy. Alice had to do it all again in the evening, and Andy went along to watch that one. Then on Thursday we had Holly’s nativity, which we both went too. She was also an angel, and it was really cute. Very proud of my girls.
This weekend… Tomorrow night the girls are off to my parents for a sleepover, while Andy and I are going out with our friends. I can’t wait!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
