Its the end of another busy week and I’m pleased we made it. The last few weeks have been ridiculously busy at both the girls schools. I feel like I haven’t done anything else but school things and making sure they had what they needed on the right day.
Luckily I have now finished all my brand work and can now get ready to switch off for Christmas. I can’t wait! Andy finishes at lunchtime on Monday and is off until 2nd January, and its going to be lovely to have that family time together.
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
Cinema With Alice… On Saturday morning Alice and I went to see Frozen 2 together. The week before I had gone to see it with Holly, as she had been invited by her friend for her birthday. It was lovely to go with Alice, and have some time together. I also got to watch the whole film, as when I went before I had a couple of toilet runs to make with the children. I love the film and I think they did a great job.
A Night Out With Friends… A few months ago some friends and I decided it would be lovely to have a Christmas night out, with the men too. We wanted to dress up, have a dance and enjoy ourselves. I had the job of arranging it all and we went to a local hotel for a ball. It was really lovely to get dressed up, something that I don’t do very often. We all had a brilliant night. We let our hair down, danced until our feet hurt and laughed a lot. I think this will become a Christmas tradition.
Helping At School.. At Holly’s school they had Christmas craft day and I went into help. I was in charge of making Christmas Pudding Cornflake cakes and the kids loved doing it. They also made wreaths and calendars, which were lovely. They then sold them at the end of the day and raised money for the homeless to have a Christmas lunch. Which was really lovely.
Christmas Carol Service… This week Alice’s school had a Christmas carol service at the church. I love Christmas carols and it really got me in the festive spirit. They all sang beautifully and there were a couple of carols I hadn’t heard before, which were really catchy.
This weekend… The girls will have finished school, and I can’t wait. We’re seeing friends this weekend and also having some time at home to get the last bits ready for Christmas, as we’re hosting.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
