Why does September always flyby? Every year I feel like, I blink and we’re in October. We have three more weeks until half term is here and I know that those three weeks will whizz by too. I usually like October, as it is filled with Halloween fun, pumpkin picking, Halloween party and trick n treating. Its going to be very different this year. We have booked to go pumpkin picking, which is brilliant and the girls will love it. We will have some Halloween fun at home and make it as special as we can.
This week has gone quickly for a change and I can’t wait for another weekend with the girls.
Here is a little snapshot of my week…
Seeing Friends… I managed to see a couple of friends over the last week. I had a coffee with one friend and went on a walk with another friend. I know I say this a lot at the moment, but I’m making the most of being able to do it. I’m not sure when the restrictions here will become tighter and we won’t be able to mix with other households.
Sorting the House… On Sunday we had a day of sorting the house. The girls spent some time with my parents, which they loved. While Andy and I tackled the spare room, which is where Andy is working at the moment. With no sign of Andy not working from home any time soon, it was about time we made the space nicer for him. He said on Monday, what a difference it has made to him.
Ikea… I went to Ikea with my friend and its the most normal thing I’ve done in a while. Apart from wearing a mask, it felt like any other visit. I managed to get everything I needed, plus some extra bits. The main thing I wanted was a mirror for our lounge and I can’t wait to get it put up.
Watching…I’m watching Bloodline at the moment and I love it. It’s really good, with lots going on and I’m watching it whenever I can. Its on Netflix if anyone is looking for something new to watch.
Brownies…Alice went back to Brownies this week. Before the summer break, they were having their meetings over zoom and its lovely that they can now all meet again in the hall. Alice came back with the biggest smile on her face.
This weekend… It looks like its going to rain for most of the weekend. I’m taking Holly out for some time with her on her own and we will be getting some jobs done around the house too.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
