I love displaying photos around our home, they are a great way to personalise your home and remind you of moments in your life. I’ve spent hours looking through all the photos we have to make the difficult decision of which ones to print and display in frames. I take a lot of photos and whilst I would love to have them all in frames, that isn’t realistically achievable.
I’ve recently been introduced to Nixplay Iris, which is a digital photo frame, that displays photos straight from your phone. I instantly loved the idea of it, as it means I can enjoy all my favourite photos and I no longer only have to pick a couple to display. It also means I can continue to add photos, with just one click and instantly see photos from our recent adventures.
My Mum loves to see photos of our girls no matter where they are or what they are doing, and life gets busy and I can forget to share the photos I’ve taken with her. With the Nixplay Iris my forgetfulness goes away, as I can instantly send the photos to her Nixplay Iris photo frame and I can get back in the good books!
The frame comes with a regular plug, a travel plug, connection cable, remote control and the digital 8 inch frame. At the back on the frame already attached is the stand and you can stand it horizontal or vertical. The stand is also where you attach the connection cable.
Setting up the Nixplay Iris was really simple to do and I didn’t have to wait for Andy to come home, as I often do when it comes to technical items. I just downloaded the Mobile App via the App Store for free and it was really easy to do. It provides faster photos optimisation and 15 second video for both iOS and android users.
The first step was to pair the frame to my phone which took no time at all, and then I was ready to transfer my photos. The best way to organise your photos is on the app you’re able to create an album, give it a name and then add your photos and videos to it. You could even add captions if you wanted to. The photos and videos are then instantly sent to the frame.
I started by sharing our recent trip to Bournemouth, I created an album, added my photos and sent them to the frame. As you do this, the frame lets you know it has new photos to display. Which is great if you’re sending this to someone else’s frame, as they will see you’ve added photos.
On the frame the photos are really clear and the quality is brilliant. It’s just like looking at them on your phone, or tablet. The Nixplay Iris would also make a lovely gift for someone, and with Father’s Day in a few weeks this would be an ideal gift. From 30th May Nixplay will be having some great promotions, so keep a look out.
As soon as the girls came home they spotted it and were intrigued by it. They sat for ages watching the photos change and I heard Holly tell Alice, it was magic! I love this photo I captured of Holly the moment a photo of just me appeared, “Look its you Mummy”, she shouted. So cute!
You can find a full range of digital frames at Nixplay.
I’m really happy with our Nixplay Iris frame, its lovely to see all our favourite photos pop on the frame, ones that you had forgotten about, ones that make me smile and ones that make me feel old!
