The Perfect Mother’s Day Gifts With Debenhams…

With Christmas Day and Valentine’s Day firmly behind us, it’s time to look ahead to Mother’s Day. There is nothing I love more than being a mummy to my girls, yes they drive me wild sometimes, but the good times far outweigh the bad times. There is nothing better that the feeling of 2 little arms wrapped around your neck. That sloppy kiss planted on your cheek and the feel of a little hand in yours as you walk down the road.

It is definitely the best decision we made and even in the darkest of days I will always love being a mum. One of my favourite brands is Debenhams, they have something for everyone and when they got in touch to ask me if I wanted to be part of their Mother’s Day campaign I quickly said yes.

They wanted to make sure that as a mum I got some time out. We all know that whilst we love to be with our children, it’s important to take some time to be us. To recharge those mummy batteries!

Debenhams kindly invited me to have afternoon tea for two. Anyone that knows me will know that I love afternoon tea, I mean what is there not to love? Well apart from the tea, don’t hate me, but I don’t like tea! But I make up for it with my love of scones and cake…

The Buyagift afternoon tea experience for 2 (priced £34.99) has gorgeous locations all over the UK and I’ve booked for my mum and I to enjoy afternoon tea, the weekend after Mother’s Day as I want to spend the day with my girls.

As I mentioned above I’m not a tea drinker, but I am a coffee lover. When I was looking through their range of gifts, there was no way I could not buy this mug. It’s perfect for me. Dear Coffee Mug, £8

I always find Debenhams really affordable and I was also in luck as they had a 4 for 3 offer on mugs. I couldn’t resist it and you can never have too many mugs, right?

I got this gorgeous heart tankard mug, £8.

What goes well with a nice cup of coffee (or tea!), is a lovely biscuit. I love the tin these Border luxury biscuits come in and it doubles up as 2 presents, because once I’ve eaten all the biscuits I can use the box too. Plus I love all the different flavours, no one will be getting a look in. Borders, luxury biscuit collection £8.50

I’ve been trying to drink more water, I’m really good at making sure the girls always have a water to hand. I carry their water bottles everywhere. But I never do the same for me, I tend to always feel thirsty which is not a good thing. I’ve brought this cute water bottle to encourage me to drink more. It means I can fill it up when I do the girls and I’m more likely to drink it.

Ben de Lisi ‘Drink Me’ Water Bottle £8, currently on offer £6.40

If your a regular reader of my blog you will know that we moved house just over a year ago and we’re slowly turning it into our home. I fell in love with this bronze turtle trinket dish (£10) and he is going to look very cute sat on my unit.

As we’ve been replacing furniture, our chair that was in our old lounge no longer had a home downstairs. I love it and I’m really pleased we managed to fit it in our bedroom. I’ve made a little reading nook and I love this cushion to sit in it. It’s made the chair even more comfy and it looks great too. Pink ‘Leelah’ cushion £20.

One of my guilty pleasures is pick n mix sweets, I love them. They are always my first choice and I’m always having a sneaky heart or mushroom in the kitchen when the girls aren’t looking. This princess mix pick ‘n’ mix jar (£9.50) is the PERFECT present for me…

The most treasured gift that I will get for Mother’s Day will be the sound of excited tiny feet running to our bedroom, the biggest hugs from my girls who can’t clamber onto me fast enough. Alice telling me what we’re doing for Mother’s Day, which I already can guess will include a trip to cafe for cake. Watching their excited faces as they thrust their handmade cards into my hands, desperate for me to see them. I can’t wait.

And for everyone that is missing someone that was a mum to them, my heart goes out to you and I know this day can be difficult for so many people.
