It’s the end of our first week of the Easter holidays and its been a brilliant week. We had a lovely Easter weekend, it mainly rained but it forced us to take a slower pace and I think we all needed it. Thankfully Easter Sunday was dry and we headed to a National Trust with my family for their Easter Egg Hunt which the girls loved.
The last couple of days we’ve been at Alton Towers and had an amazing time. I’ll be sharing more with you all soon.
I’ve finally finished Eleanor Oliphant, it takes me ages these days to finish a book as I fall asleep. I’ve now started reading Friend Request and I’m already gripped by it. I love books that talk about the modern world that we live in.
I’ll let you know when I finish it and give you my final verdict.
Last Sunday Andy and I watched the new Agatha Christie called Ordeal by Innocence. It’s a 3 part series and we can’t wait to watch the second part on Sunday. Andy loves all the Agatha Christie programmes and this one is very good so far. You can probably watch it on catch up if you missed it and it’s your type of thing.
On our journey back from Alton Towers yesterday, we listened to the Frozen soundtrack and the Troll soundtrack. The girls and I were singing our hearts out. I’m sure Andy often feels outnumbered and this is definitely one of those times.
It makes the journey a lot more fun and everyone loves a good sing along!
When we went to the National Trust at the weekend for an egg hunt, we wore our wellies and it’s a good job we did as it was in a field.
My girls love wearing their wellies and I’m not sure they will stop over the summer months when we go on a walk, as they are so used to it.
We’ve made lots of memories this week. I love it when we get a chance to have time together as a family, we don’t normally go away that often. But this year we’ve decided to embrace it more and not worry that Alice never sleeps when we are in the same room as her. Even though she did amaze us this week and slept!
We’ve still got another week of the Easter holidays to go and whilst Andy will be going back to work on Monday (boo). I’m looking forward to having another week with my girls. We’ve got lots of lovely days planned and I can’t wait.
