Its the end of July and what a crazy busy month it was. The end of the school year always has a lot going on and with Alice leaving the school, there were a lot of extra leavers events too. But we made it and we saw the end of Holly’s first year at school and Alice saying goodbye to the infants. We’re currently on school holiday and this is our first full week.
So far it has been ok, we had a slow start as the girls were very tired from school and I knew they needed the time to relax. We’ve had fun though! Meeting up with friends for picnics, days out and having fun in our garden and the pool. We had our first rainy day yesterday and we survived it. I’m hoping we don’t have too many of those, as its more expensive entertaining the kids when it rains.
This month we also had the girls birthday parties, which we did early before school finished to make sure their friends could come. They were on the same day, and whilst it was exhausting its nice to have them done for another year. Andy had his birthday weekend trip away with his friends and the girls and I had a lovely girls weekend. Its not is birthday until mid August, but he did it early when everyone was available to come. That’s the trouble with August birthday’s, everyone goes away. But he had fun and thats all that matters.
We’re all counting down to our family holiday to Crete. Andy has two weeks off work and we can’t wait to have him off with us. We’re going away for a week and will be in Crete for his birthday. We also have both the girls birthday’s to celebrate, Alice’s before we go away and Holly’s when we get back. It’s a busy month for us!
My photos this month were taken last weekend. We headed to Calshot to do some fun activities, which I will be sharing with you soon and next to it was Tudor Castle which we looked around, and I got a couple of photos of us.
