It was really lovely having the bank holiday weekend, so close to Easter. It’s felt like we’ve had a lot of family time recently and I love it. It was hard getting up in the morning on Tuesday though and I don’t think anyone was ready for the extended weekend to end.
After such a lovely weekend it was hard to get back into work this week. But working for yourself, having just one extra day off means there is a lot to catch up on.
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
Take That Concert … On Friday Andy and I headed to the O2 Arena to watch Take That in concert. I’ve been to every concert and we couldn’t wait to see them. We also got to do some shopping at the icon, which was ok, but not amazing. We had dinner and then it was time to watch the concert. They were amazing! They always put on a great show and this one did not disappoint. Because it was their 30 years greatest hits tour, there were all the old favourites. It was lovely to spend time with Andy and have some fun together.
The Class Bear… Holly was so excited on Friday because it was her turn to bring home the class bear for the weekend. Their class is called Rainbow class and they have Rainbow Monster. Is there anything worse than the pressure of not loosing the class bear! I was also pleased we had things planned for the weekend, as we had to take photos and stick in the book. I also had to resist the urge not to wash him, as can you imagine the germs from all the children he has been with! Anyway Holly loved it, we got lots of photos and we didn’t loose him.
A Day At Bournemouth… On Sunday we headed to Bournemouth for the day. It was for the blog and we had been challenged to find some Hidden Gems. We visited the Upside Down House and the girls absolutely loved it! They haven’t stopped talking about it since and telling everyone about it. We also played crazy golf and then headed to Hengistbury Head, which was beautiful. We had a lovely walk and sat on the beach for a bit. It was a lovely day out together.
A Day With Friends… On Monday we went to a nearby village for their May Day fayre with our friends. We went a couple of years ago and had a great time. The girls couldn’t wait to ride on a pony, as Alice remembered doing it last time. This time Holly was old enough too and they both loved it. They saw a magician, did some circus skills, went on the bouncy castle and had an ice cream. It was great fun and all the girls loved it. I love days like this where its nice and easy, the children are well entertained and you can relax.
Play Dates… Another week and more play dates. Alice didn’t have Rainbows this week and instead the girls had a friend over each. Of course they were ridiculously excited as normal and had a great time. I love how all the children get so excited over play dates, even if they are exhausting for me. Its lovely for them to have their friends over and I hope they will always want to.
This weekend… We have a fairly quiet weekend and I can’t wait. We are meeting up with some friends on Saturday for a walk, if the weather stays dry. Apart from that, it will be time at home, the girls will probably go out on their bikes and we can all relax.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
