I know I talk about the weather a lot, but its because it changes so much at the moment and when the sun does arrive it feels like a big deal. We’ve had gorgeous sunny weather this last week and I’m really sad that its now back to rain. But I am hoping that if it rains now, it means we will have a lovely sunny half term.
It’s been a pretty normal week for me, and trying to enjoy the sunny weather as much as we can.
Here is my little snapshot of this week…
New Kitchen Storage … I love interiors and I also love a bargain. I saw online some gorgeous storage tins from Aldi, which is not somewhere I would think to look for house bits. After dropping the girls at school, I headed to our Aldi, which isn’t very big and I wasn’t hopeful that they would stock them. But much to my surprise they did and I love them. The 3 little ones were only £8.99 and I also brought a matching bread bin, which was £8.99 too!
Time With Friends… On Saturday afternoon we met up with our friends and Holly’s best friend. The 3 girls all get on really well together, with the 2 younger ones looking up Alice. We had a nice walk and the girls ran about, put on a show for us and played hide and seek. We then went to a nearby pub for a drink and the girls sat and did some colouring. We were having such a lovely time, that we didn’t realise the time and we ended up giving the girls their dinner there too. Which they loved! I love days like this, where its all so easy and you just go with the flow.
A Day In The Garden… On Sunday we had a day in the garden. It was such gorgeous weather and we had a few outdoor jobs to get done. Now the girls are older, they can entertain themselves easily outside and we can actually get things done. My new egg chair had arrived, which was a belated Christmas present for me. I’ve always wanted one! I put it together, but I didn’t really get a chance to sit in it.
Coffee With Friends… I normally try and meet up with one friend each week, as its really nice to take the time out and catch up with people. But this week, I ended up meeting with 3 different friends on 3 different days! Which was really lovely. I love taking this time for me and to make the time to see people. Life can be busy, but its never too busy to make the time if you want to. It was a really lovely week for seeing people.
Binge Watching Dead To Me… I watched the whole series of Dead To Me and loved it. It is a brilliant series on Netflix at the moment, with Christina Applegate and its so good. I definitely recommend watching it, if you’re looking for a new series to watch. I’ve been recommending it to everyone at the moment.
This weekend… I’m heading to Birmingham to This Morning Live on Saturday and I can’t wait. Then on Sunday, Holly has a party and I’m sure we will head out afterwards somewhere nice if the weather is dry.
