My Little Snapshots…

It’s been a really busy week, with different things happening at school, after school clubs and parties. Whilst I’m also busy trying to get as much work done as possible before half term. I can’t believe the girls are on holiday again, it feels like they just went back. I can’t wait to have them home for another week.

Here is my little snapshot of this week…

A Trip To Birmingham… On Friday afternoon I drove to Birmingham to spend time with my friend Laura. We met online through blogging, but she has become one of my closest friends and we try to meet up a few times a year. This time we had both been invited to the This Morning Live event and we thought it was a good opportunity to spend time together. We booked a cheap hotel, had dinner and talked all night like we do all the time, but this time it was face to face and it felt so good. We had a great time on Saturday at This Morning and I was sad to say goodbye to her.

Time With Alice… On Sunday morning Holly had a birthday party and this time I sent Andy with her. As it meant I could have a couple of hours with Alice. Alice really wanted to do some pottery painting and we met my niece and SIL too. It was lovely to see them and catch up. Alice did a brilliant rainbow plate and she can’t wait for us to pick it up this weekend.

Walk To School Week… This week it was walk to school week, which the council do every year. We sometimes walk to school, it depends on the weather, what I am doing after I drop the girls off and if I have time to walk home too. But this week, we made sure we walked every day, which of course meant I walked home every day too. A couple of times I took a longer walk home, and it felt good to get some exercise and enjoy the sunny weather. I definitely need to make this a regular thing.

Gymnastics Event… Alice goes to gymnastics club once a week and its her favourite time of the week. This week they had a special event on and the British gymnastics champion 2018 came along. Alice, along with everyone else put on a performance and it was brilliant to watch. I could see how much Alice loved it, and how seriously she takes it. There was also a raffle and I won a membership to David Lloyd, which was a nice little bonus.

Line Of Duty… With my social channels filled with chat about Line Of Duty I felt like we were missing out and Andy and I have started to watch it from the beginning. It turns out, I do remember watching series 1 and 2, which we’re currently on. But I must’ve stopped watching it for some reason. Anyway Andy hasn’t seen any of it, so we watched them again for him and I’m looking forward to season 3, which I’m told is brilliant.

This weekend…  It’s the start of half term and a bank holiday weekend. We’re seeing family on Sunday and visiting a National Trust place, which will be lovely. I will also be getting us ready for our trip to Devon for a few days next week, which we can’t wait for.

I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend.
